Convert Powerpoint with sound to movie
What to do if you have a Powerpoint presentation PPT and want to make a movie out of it? There are some commercial programs that didn't work for me. So here is the freeware way to do it:
You just need the Windows Movie Maker and of course PowerPoint which isn't free.
In Powerpoint you just save all slides as Jpegs
In Movie Maker you first set the duration each picture is supposed to be shown in the Options Dialog. Now just add all you pictures.
If you have animations happening in a slide, you need to export multiple pictures for that.
If you have any music, you need to put this on the Movie Maker timeline as well.
Now save your Movie to disk and you are done!
Of course this is not a 100% copy, you'll end up with a WMV and you might have to emulate certain effects with Movie Maker's effects, but I was able to compress a 100MB+ presentation to around 10MB this way ;)
